September

Quick update...

I have been pretty busy (as always), haven't updated in two or is it 3 weeks now? Anywho, Presley has two teeth now! Overnight one popped up & then she wasn't eating good/hardly at all and had runny poops, we didn't know what was going on and just before we took her to the doc. another toother came in. So now she has two on the bottom. I have yet to be able to get a pic of them. She is still only crawling and cruising furniture standing up. When we try to have her walk to us she just dives, it will happen when she is ready just like crawling. She was like a month or two behind crawling but that's okay b/c I am not sure I am ready for a walker!
The Donosa household has been crazy! We are re modeling our guest/Presley's bathroom, getting ready for Presley's first birthday party, having a yard sale this weekend and on top of it all I am participating in a boutique sale. Every day up until Pres' bday is packed! So much to do so little time. It's my first time throwing a birthday party, my mom has always done that for me, so I am a tad worried about this one. It's a lot of work GO MOM for doing it every year for 3 kiddos!
I am headed to buckeye tomorrow morning to help a good friend of mine paint her new house, Congrats Courtney and Tyler on the Casa again! Should be fun, she has a two story and plans on painting wall to wall ;) It's okay, my arms definitely need the work out!
This month should go fast, sorry if I don't blog as much as I would like to this month... Hopefully October will go a bit slower for us. Have a happy September everyone!!

Oh Arizona, How I loathe the!

This should be a happy cheery post about our great San Diego trip, don't get me wrong it was TONS OF FUN! Being back in AZ though has me so depressed, explanation: It's wayyy to hot here! This is Presley our first day back begging to go outside. She loves being outside, all weekend that's all we did was hang out in San Diego OUTSIDE. She stood at our back door watching the birds and dogs banging on the window saying " ah ah ah" that's what she does when she wants something. It really drives me mad that I can't take her outside for more than 5 minutes. Her face gets red and she sweats... It's just too darn hot! I would love to call California my home, its hot during the day but not deadly hot, seriously there is a extreme heat warning in this state everyday! It's so expensive to live there though and Manuel's job and our family is here :( I just don't want to stay in this state one more summer. On a happier note ( but still hating Arizona ;)) We left at 7:30 pm Friday night and decided instead of making the 6 hour drive all at once we would do 3 hours stay in Yuma and then the next morning drive 2 1/2 hours to San Diego. Here we are stopping on the way to Yuma for dinner. Mmm Panda, Presley even had some.
Of course she loved the fortune cookie, she only got a tiny piece but her fortune said " You will soon be the center of attention" LOL should have said " you are the center of attention"

Here we are in Yuma getting ready to drive to Sea World... (She was chewing on a piece of gum)

@ Sea world, her first show, Pets Rule! She didn't like the loud noises, but loved the animals.

Mama and baby taking a break...

So cute, we were watching the Mama shamu and her new baby swimming together. You can't see the baby because the mama is blocking her here. Aw and it was a girl baby.

Of course Presley loved this and had to have it ;)

Waiting to see the Shamu show...

There is the mama and baby( she was 400 pounds when she was born! and I thought 8 pounds was bad!)

Daddy, Presley and baby shamu snuggling in the comfiest bed every, I love the Hilton!

Ready to go to the beach...

At first she didn't know what to think & then we put her in the water and it was COLD so she didn't really like that but she did love...

Playing in the sand!

I learned a lesson on this trip, when with a baby at the beach come prepared! I forgot the beach towels and oh man there was sand everywhere. We had to strip Presley and give her a cold shower outside, she didn't like that too much, Manuel got soaked because he had to hold her, we had to dry her off on our clothes and quickly put a diaper on... Sand got everywhere :( My new car :( It was so worth it though. We had such a great time and are sad to be home, but only 72 days until our next trip to CA, and this time DISNEYLAND! Yes I sure am keeping count :) I love my little family and this was just what we needed a lil' vaca from home.

Mmmmm

My passions:
Of course my baby girl
Traveling/ vacationing
Cooking
Baking and decorating cakes... I love it, it is so relaxing yet nerve wrecking at the same time. The fear of the cake not rising the frosting not cooperating, the design not turning out how you picture it. The joy of the faces when they see the cake, the sounds of Mmmm. This is what I want to do. Culinary arts. Cooking & baking. I would love to work in a bakery, some day possibly own my own. Now if only 30,000 would pop up in my bank account :) I made this cake for Manuel's boss Andy, He was turning 40 (duh) but dreading it! So I really wanted to make a strong impact with the whole 40 thing :)

Don't mind the red hair, I had just had a baby and obviously went temporarily crazy!
This one I surprised my lil' sister with...
So if you ever need a cake, you know who to call!

Pinkie bear, 10 months & San Diego!

These are Pres' 10 month pictures... In this one we said " do pretty picture" and for some reason she did it with her tounge out :)

Presley holding "pinkie bear" this bear was with me when I was born, he stayed in my bassinet with me. She only got to hold it for a minute though because he is very special!

Hugs for pinkie bear

We are so excited, this weekend we are going to San diego, CA! It is so hot here we cannot wait to get into some cooler weather! Manuel's boss heard we were going so he was nice and got us reservations at the Hilton seaworld! We were just going to hang out at the beach both days but now we might go to seaworld since we are only a few blocks away. I can't wait to see Presley's face when she see's the big whales! Wish us luck on our first big drive with Presley! 6 hours... Hopefully she can sleep atleast half way!

Time well spent

The past 3 weeks have been ruff on us as a family... So it was great that this past weekend was nothing but smiles, laughter, hugs, and love. We needed a good time and I hope we can continue to have times like these and get over this bump in our lives.
My boo boo just decided to take a nap while playing with her dolly, so sweet.
Just relaxing on the chair <3 Daddy has a present...

Its a baby in a box :)

Random cheerio on her head lol she accidentally put it there but it stayed like that through breakfast.

Presley hung out at gma & gpa's while mommy and daddy went birthday shopping at toys r' us sale.

Grandpa and Pres on the swing
Grandpa came to visit and got Presley this cute bathing suit.

She looks like she is being sneaky...

Daddy and Pres snackin' on crackers..

Saturday we went to visit Manuels family, his nephew was sooooo good with Presley he played with her the whole time and she loved it!
Jumping on the trampoline at Manuels brothers house

She loved this horse in their front yard and cried when she had to get off it!

Sunday, about to go shopping....

Sunday afternoon we went swimming, It was the first time all 3 of us have swam in our pool. It feels like yesterday when I was huuuuge pregnant swimming in this pool trying to relive some back pain. We used to sit in the pool and talk about her & now she is here!
Saturday Manuel got a little taste of a cranky Presley! She was overly tired and skipped a nap, she refused to go to sleep. Wanted picked up and when we picked her up she wanted down. Manuel said "Man your job is hard, mine is too, but yours is a whole other level of hard". I said " yes I do this daily and manage to clean, cook, pay bills, etc..." He has said before how much he loves that I "do it all" but it feels good to hear it. Our 10 month old sure is a lot of work but for every 10 cries that one smile makes it all worth it!
