CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!

I know I can't... My baby is going to be 2!!! & Oh boy she is tippin' her two year old toes in the terrible two pool! She has attitude and likes things her way :) She is also sweeter than ever and so much fun. I love this age!!

For her birthday celebration we will be having a LUAU! It will be on Saturday, September 18th. From 4-7pm. Hope you all can make it! I wanted to make a visual list of some ideas for her.

Presley's birthday wishes ;)

Tricycle: This one is really neat because Mama and Daddy can push while she is still learning to pedal.

Basketball hoop: (cough cough Auntie Sam)

Art Easel: This one is two sided and can be for paint, crayon, chalk, marker, magnets, etc.

Cleaning tools/set: She loves helping Mama sweep and pick it up with the dust pan!

Dress up shoes: She loves shoes, doesn't every two year old girl?!

Puzzles: This one in particular is neat, you match the mama with baby animal.

Playdoh:

Dress up clothes and Jewelry:

Aqua doodle: These are so cool, you draw with water in a marker on the pad and it doesn't make a mess!

Sand and water table:

Microphone: She loves singing and dancing! This one was only 8.99 at toys r us and it is like a real microphone.

Barbies: She is just now starting to really like playing with her Little mermaid barbie, she doesn't have any boy barbies and only 1 other barbie besides Mermaid that is for the bath.

T-ball set: I plan on putting her in tball as soon as I can :)

Clothes: size 2T

Frame Project: WARNING YOU MAY FALL IN LOVE!

I have had a blank spot above my couch ever since we re did the living room. I saw this idea on another blog and decided to do it Chaeli style :)
First I went to goodwill( <3>
Step 1- take frame apart, save backing, throw away glass
Step 2- Spray paint I used Rust-oleum Canyon Black
I then got some hob lob fabric, and returned it only to find this one at Joann's its perfect!
Step 3- Use spray adhesive to attach fabric to original frame backing.
Step 4- turn over and hot glue the fabric to the frame backing
This is what you get...
Step 5-Make sure it fits in the frame before getting the glue in there
Step 6- Decide on your layout and take a picture so you remember how you want them
Step 7- Spray paint frames
Step 8- Glue in the fabric board onto the frame.
Side note: When I tried to explain to Manuel what I had planned for the hideous frame I had just put in the cart at goodwill he looked at me like I was crazy. When he finally saw it all coming together he wanted to take over the project. Yea right like I would put my project in his hands ;) I let him glue gun. He is a pro now!
Step 9- Glue in all the frames, make sure if their are any staples to hold in the glass you take them out first or it will lay un even on board. I used a glue gun because it is forgiving but you could also use gorilla glue epoxy.
Step 10-Hang it!
Step 11 or 10- This can be done before hanging. Get magnets and put them on the board, I got some fancy jewels to glue on them for a cute look. The lady who i got the idea from used clothes pins on hers.
Step 12- Put in your pictures & Voila you're in love!

Now I have to order more black and white photos and find something for on the sides of the frame because it still looks plain. I think I might get some large keys at hob lob.
P.s. check out my side table. It was a savers(thrift store) ugly brown and gold table and I spray painted it too! I LOVE ME SOME SPRAY PAINT!!!

My little

I wish I would have been keeping a journal for Presley from the beginning, darn it. Everyday she does such amazing things and I mean to write them down but never get around to it :(

Presley,
You are 14 months. I think you are the smartest 14 month out there! For sure the cutest! You have known for months now where you eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair, hands, feet, and booty are. You can also point out all those things on mommy. We tell you "smack your booty" and you do, its adorable. Daddy has had this ritual since you were old enough to hold your self up while we hold you, when he gets you undressed and you are headed to the bath tub he says "smack the babies booty" and brings you to me to smack your booty (softly of course) you love it. We call you "little" the most but also little face, Pres, boo, and pelz. Grandma came up with the cutest nick name for you- little feather. You are so skinny, you are finally starting to put some meat on those bones. For awhile we were getting worried you barely ate and we could see your ribs. Doctor said you were in the normal weight range. Compared to the two kids your age that grandma watches you are skin and bones. I think it has something to do with your teeth. You didn't have any teeth up until you were 13 months and then got your two bottom teeth within weeks of each other. In December you started pushing two top teeth through, but not the two front ones. Your right front one and the one to the right of it. I thought most kiddos go the two front teeth first. Now you are starting to push the other two through. It doesn't seem to bother you at all. There have been days when you are a bit fussy but for the most part you have done great. I must tell you that I haven't given you any tylenol for your teeth, do you hate me? Gma says you will be mad when you find out I didn't give you anything. I hate tylenol. Ever since you were 1 month and had your first shots and I gave you some and you were all drugged up. It scared me.
You are taking two naps a day (most days). One at noon and one around 4 or 5. We have a routine, you wake me up, ever so sweetly but rubbing my hair :) we get breakfast and watch Dora. Then you play for awhile while I clean up the kitchen. I give you a bath and you are ready for binky, you point me to it and point me to the room and are ready for a nap. While you take a nappy I get done with house stuff. Most days you take an hour to two nap and then when you wake up, I give you lunch and milky. We then play or run errands until 5 and you take another nap while I cook dinner. When you wake up daddy is home and we eat dinner and play until night night time. You are still sleeping with Mommy and Daddy. Everyone tells us how bad this is but we have tried and failed with you sleeping in your crib. You scream and try to climb out. Last time we tried after you has screamed for 45 mins strait, I told daddy" this is child abuse" and went and got you. You are only a baby once and you sleeping with us works for us. We are going to get you a toddler bed and see if you will sleep in that in our room. We can't lower the crib anymore and you are inches away from falling over it when you are mad and climbing to get out.
You love love love Dora!! Your favorite things right now are 1.Grandpa/ pop 2. Birds 3. Dora 4. Mommy. I had to throw me in there but really you would be fine with Pop (thats what we call gpa) birds and dora. When you watch dora and she says "is this the ___" you shake your head and say no. Then when swiper the fox steals you say " no stop" and point your finger. You are amazing. (as I read this over I forgot 5. fishy crackers)
We are working on the binky... its your new years resolution. We don't let you have it during the day anymore. Only at nappy and night night. We are slowly going to take it away for nappy and then night night. When you are sleepy you rub your hair until you fall asleep. Its so sweet and I love just laying next to you and watching you run your fingers through those soft brown locks.

Oh Presley you have made my life 100x better. Everything is worth it now with you. You are my sunshine, my ONLY sunshine. Kisses for baby. Love you.
p/s speaking of kisses, you have the juiciest most adorable kisses and all we have to do is ask and you pucker up. Sometimes you come up to mommy or daddy wanting kisses words can't describe how that makes me feel. Did I mention how amazing you are!!!!!

Resolutions, blah.

Christmas 2006 Our first Christmas togetherChristmas 2007 Presley had just been made, I know, TMI. It's pretty amazing while we took this picture she was just a little sperm making her way up my fallopian tubes.

Christmas 2008. Presley's first Christmas...
Christmas 2009... This year she knew how to open the gifts but wasn't sure why we were opening them.

So Christmas was great, fast but great. We spent Christmas Eve by going to my dad's during the day and then church and grams for dinner that evening. Christmas morning Presley saw her gift from santa. A big play house for the back yard. She wasn't too impressed, she isn't much of a morning person (she gets that from mama). Then we went to gma and pops to open more gifts and then to Kirk and Karlas for more food and fun. We then spent the weekend just hanging out at home and doing some after christmas clearance shopping. We took down all of our decorations the day after christmas, it was sad. I was so happy with my decorating this year.

Now comes New Years.

I have a list of resolutions. I am hoping next year I wont need to make any!
1. Cook at home meals wayyy more. Only 2 meals outside a week. We decided on this one together. My problem is weekends, I hate cooking on weekends. So now I only get like one dinner out and a lunch or breakfast. We are doing it this way for a month and hoping it will change our bad habits.

2. Be a better friend, I am pretty sure this was on my list last year. I hope to spend more time with friends.

3. Blog more. If there are any readers out there lol let me know. I only know of one, my dear faithful friend Courtney :) I am turning my blog into more of a journal than a page for updates. Husband promises to move the Mac to my desk this weekend so this will help. His desk is so tall and ever since my pc bit the dust, Its hard.

4. Exercise, once again another one that is on my list every year. Although this year will be a bit different. I am not putting a pound goal. Just to get moving for at least an hour at least four days a week and try to do a family outing once on the weekends, like a bike ride to the park , or hike up a mountain (thats a little ambitious)

5. This one is TMI for the blog but I know what it is and since its in words it makes it a resolution :)

6. Put my eye cream on every night. I am getting bad crows feet, and at 24 thats no bueno. I get lazy but this shall stop!

7. Most challenging... Stop shopping for the month of January.
Ahhhh words cannot even describe my feelings for this. I admit I have a problem, I shop. But in my own defense I do it well! So for a whole month I will be only allowed to spend money on groceries and even then I will go to the store with a list in hand and stay on it. I am pretty much banned from walmart and target because it would be too tempting to grocery shop there. Husband doesn't think I can do it. I don't even know if I can. I am my worst enemy, I convince myself I NEED something and lord knows I can convince Manuel we need it too. My pay off and the reason I am doing this is we want to go to DL in February and a cruise in March for our 5 year wedding anniversary. So the plan is that since I wont be buying little things we don't really need we will have a bit extra for spending the next two months.

I plan to keep my self busy with re organizing the heck out of this house. Anything that we haven't used in a year is going out. I realized this needs to be done after being sick last week I went to get some throat medication out of our hall closet and like all the nyquil and tylenol etc. expired in 2006!

I will post my progress. Probably with pictures. I need something to keep my mind off shopping!!!

I can do this!

Let's play catch up

Wow I haven't blogged since before my birthday! Lots to catch up on, too much so I will just fill you in with the important stuff. My birthday was great, turning 2
4 not so great. I want to stay 22 forever! I feel like I am getting old, blah, bags and w
rinkles, sagging and ehhh thats enough. It was a small bday celebration and I liked it that way. I had jury duty all day and was kind of bummed that after 3 interviews I wasn't selected. It was a death penalty first degree murder case and I would have loved to learn the ins and outs of a trial. Maybe next time. After a long sit in traffic ( man am I glad I dont work the 9-5 in down town!) I went and got my frap that i dreamt of all day and got a pedicure that I have been dreaming about for months! Picked up Presley and everyone ca
me over to give me gifts woooo whooo. I got some pretty nice stuff. Hubby got me a n
ew entertainment center, and a gps system. My papa and Presley pitched in and got me a PINK beach cruiser, its pretty amazing!!! I put a baby seat on the back and got P a helmet, we love going for rides!! My Mom, dad, and sisters
got me lots, a rachel ray garbage bowl and knife set hollll
a thats what I have been wanting, a pedicure, edward calendar (yum), some undies :) and apron that is so my style. We then went out to eat at Joe's bbq grill. It was a great birthday.
Next came Halloween... During the day we went to a fall festival at church with grandpa. Presley was a Nebraska Corn Husker cheerleader. Grandpa took her on a pony ride and she loved it. She went in a petting zoo and quickly petted the animals and then turned away scared. She is so funny. At night she was minnie mouse and Manuel, me, grandma and grandpa took her trick-or-treating and then we had a bon fire in the front yard with neighbors. She is so smart she would walk up to a house with her little elmo bucket and grab candy for each hand. She only got to eat 1 lollipop but she was happy with that.
Petting a little piggy at the fall festival...Grandpa taking Presley on a pony ride...

This is us at a pumpkin patch...

Presley found her pumpkin and is giving it kisses!
Carving pumpkins...

Then came Auntie LaLa's 15th birthday....
My brave mother had 40+ teens over at her house for a party and a haunted house. It took like 5 or 6 cars to get them all there. Manuel and i were drivers while Presley has some grammy time.

Next we had a dinner at grammy's to celebrate Mine and Caela's birthday...

My mom and I went on a girls only trip to Vegas to celebrate her best friends daughter, my good friend Alli's 21st birthday. It was tons of fun, but I really missed my little boo. Here are some pictures.

Then came Thanks Giving @ Uncle Lee's... The night before we were at urgent care with P, she had a high temp for 3 days and finally when it hit 104 with tylenol I said no more and we took her in. It was heart breaking. They had to do a urine test and on a baby they have to put in a catheter since she can't pee in a cup and take her blood. We had to hold her down while they did both and she screamed and looked at us like "why arent you saving me". It was such a horrible experiance. We left not knowing what it was because her tests came back fine but the doctor thought it was roseola. She said to watch for a fever break followed by a rash. The day after thanksgiving we saw the rash. It spread all over her body. Poor baby. It didn't hurt her but wasn't pretty. It went away after two days and she is back to her normal self. Pheww.

This was the start of the rash.

Of course after Thanksgiving is BLACK FRIDAY! I don't have pictures for that, but we shopped till we dropped. We were at toys r' us at 11 pm until 4 am and then split up and I was at Target with my sisters and cousins from 5 am-6 am while manuel was at walmart. Then we hit up home depot, staples, and kohls.

We just celebrated Manuels 33rd birthday on Monday. I will post pictures when I get them on the Computer.

Next is mom's birthday and Christmas!!!

I will try to be better about up dating :)
