Resolutions, blah.

Christmas 2006 Our first Christmas togetherChristmas 2007 Presley had just been made, I know, TMI. It's pretty amazing while we took this picture she was just a little sperm making her way up my fallopian tubes.

Christmas 2008. Presley's first Christmas...
Christmas 2009... This year she knew how to open the gifts but wasn't sure why we were opening them.

So Christmas was great, fast but great. We spent Christmas Eve by going to my dad's during the day and then church and grams for dinner that evening. Christmas morning Presley saw her gift from santa. A big play house for the back yard. She wasn't too impressed, she isn't much of a morning person (she gets that from mama). Then we went to gma and pops to open more gifts and then to Kirk and Karlas for more food and fun. We then spent the weekend just hanging out at home and doing some after christmas clearance shopping. We took down all of our decorations the day after christmas, it was sad. I was so happy with my decorating this year.

Now comes New Years.

I have a list of resolutions. I am hoping next year I wont need to make any!
1. Cook at home meals wayyy more. Only 2 meals outside a week. We decided on this one together. My problem is weekends, I hate cooking on weekends. So now I only get like one dinner out and a lunch or breakfast. We are doing it this way for a month and hoping it will change our bad habits.

2. Be a better friend, I am pretty sure this was on my list last year. I hope to spend more time with friends.

3. Blog more. If there are any readers out there lol let me know. I only know of one, my dear faithful friend Courtney :) I am turning my blog into more of a journal than a page for updates. Husband promises to move the Mac to my desk this weekend so this will help. His desk is so tall and ever since my pc bit the dust, Its hard.

4. Exercise, once again another one that is on my list every year. Although this year will be a bit different. I am not putting a pound goal. Just to get moving for at least an hour at least four days a week and try to do a family outing once on the weekends, like a bike ride to the park , or hike up a mountain (thats a little ambitious)

5. This one is TMI for the blog but I know what it is and since its in words it makes it a resolution :)

6. Put my eye cream on every night. I am getting bad crows feet, and at 24 thats no bueno. I get lazy but this shall stop!

7. Most challenging... Stop shopping for the month of January.
Ahhhh words cannot even describe my feelings for this. I admit I have a problem, I shop. But in my own defense I do it well! So for a whole month I will be only allowed to spend money on groceries and even then I will go to the store with a list in hand and stay on it. I am pretty much banned from walmart and target because it would be too tempting to grocery shop there. Husband doesn't think I can do it. I don't even know if I can. I am my worst enemy, I convince myself I NEED something and lord knows I can convince Manuel we need it too. My pay off and the reason I am doing this is we want to go to DL in February and a cruise in March for our 5 year wedding anniversary. So the plan is that since I wont be buying little things we don't really need we will have a bit extra for spending the next two months.

I plan to keep my self busy with re organizing the heck out of this house. Anything that we haven't used in a year is going out. I realized this needs to be done after being sick last week I went to get some throat medication out of our hall closet and like all the nyquil and tylenol etc. expired in 2006!

I will post my progress. Probably with pictures. I need something to keep my mind off shopping!!!

I can do this!
